It is still a thriving commercial fishery that specializes in Whitefish! The downtown is loaded with wonderful shops, galleries and eateries! They have a fabulous beach, and there are also fishing charters, and charters that will take you to both of the Manitou Islands! The trip up the Leelanau Peninsula winds you through the acclaimed wine country, plenty of wineries to stop and check out.
